Virtual Music Network is a music discovery and media platform spotlighting independent performers, virtual venues, live events, artist interviews, and creative communities across virtual worlds and online spaces.

How is Virtual Music Network connected to Indiespectrum Radio?

Virtual Music Network works in partnership with Indiespectrum Radio to help independent and virtual-world performers reach new listeners through streaming, interviews, event promotion, community features, and artist discovery.

Is Virtual Music Network a radio station?

Virtual Music Network is broader than a radio station. Indiespectrum Radio serves as a broadcast and streaming partner, while Virtual Music Network focuses on artist discovery, interviews, event promotion, partnerships, and community storytelling.

What is Live, Loud and Unfiltered?

Live, Loud and Unfiltered is Virtual Music Network’s flagship interview series, featuring conversations with performers, songwriters, venue owners, creators, and other voices from virtual music culture.

Does Virtual Music Network support Second Life artists?

Yes. Virtual Music Network has deep roots in the Second Life live music community and continues to spotlight Second Life performers, venues, events, and creative projects while also leaving room to grow into other virtual worlds and online music communities.

Can artists submit original music?

Yes. Independent artists and virtual-world performers can submit original music for possible airplay, artist discovery features, interviews, or related Virtual Music Network coverage.

What is your policy regarding AI-generated or AI-assisted music?

IndieSpectrum Radio and Virtual Music Network exist to support, promote, and celebrate original music created by real independent musicians and live performers.

We do not accept music that was generated wholly or in substantive part by generative artificial intelligence.

Submitted tracks must be fundamentally human-written, human-composed, human-performed, or human-produced. The use of generative AI to create lyrics, melodies, harmonies, vocals, instrumental performances, backing tracks, musical arrangements, or other substantive creative elements is prohibited.

This includes AI-generated material that has subsequently been edited, remixed, rearranged, overdubbed, or combined with human vocals or instrumentation.

Standard human-directed recording and production tools remain permitted, including traditional virtual instruments, MIDI programming, drum machines, sample libraries, equalization, compression, pitch correction, noise reduction, audio restoration, mixing, mastering, and similar processes, provided those tools do not generate or replace substantive musical or lyrical content.

Submissions that violate this policy may be rejected or removed from rotation. Knowingly misrepresenting AI-generated material as human-created may result in the loss of future submission privileges.

Can venues or event organizers share upcoming shows?

Yes. Virtual venues, event organizers, and community hosts are encouraged to share upcoming music events, special performances, artist showcases, and collaborative opportunities for possible promotion.

How can sponsors or partners get involved?

Sponsors and partners can support artist discovery, virtual events, interviews, radio programming, and community storytelling through customized visibility opportunities across Virtual Music Network, Indiespectrum Radio, and related promotional channels.

Where can listeners find upcoming events and interviews?

Listeners can follow Virtual Music Network for featured interviews, live music coverage, event spotlights, artist announcements, and updates from partner communities.
